Youth Ministry
Cathedral Youth: The Treehouse
Formation, Outreach, and Community
The Youth Ministry at Christ Church Cathedral is a vibrant community where students in Grades 6–12 explore big questions, build lasting relationships, and see the light of Christ in one another. Whether through deep discussion or high-energy fellowship, we empower our youth to be leaders in the church today.
Sunday Morning Formation
Our Sunday School is the heart of our community—a place to grow in faith through teaching, discussion, and, of course, doughnuts.
- Morning Session: 10:00–11:00 a.m. | Ballard Youth Center, 3rd Floor
- Bilingual Session: 1:00–2:00 p.m. | Ballard Youth Center, 3rd Floor (held during the 1 p.m. service)
Weekly Connection
Spiritual growth happens far beyond the classroom. We offer multiple mid-week opportunities for students to connect and recharge:
TNT: Tuesday Nights at the Treehouse
A weeknight gathering for fun, fellowship, and Jesus.
Seed Group
Our weekly Bible study gathering focused on deep diving into Scripture.
Friday High School Fellowship
A space specifically for older students to build community and navigate high school life together.
Leadership & Mission
We believe our youth are not just the future of the church—they are the present.
- Youth Ministry Council: We provide leadership development opportunities, giving students a voice in shaping our community.
- Diocesan Events: We actively participate in national and regional gatherings like Happening and the Episcopal Youth Event (EYE).
- Mission Trips: Our “Cathedral DNA” involves serving others. From local outreach to international missions in places like Costa Rica, we put our faith into action.
