Welcome to the Cathedral

We’re Glad You’re Here

Since 1839, Christ Church Cathedral has been a spiritual anchor in downtown Houston. As the Cathedral for the Diocese of Texas and a member of the Episcopal Church, we believe that God is in our city—and our community.

Whoever you are, and whatever your story, you are welcome here. We are an open and affirming home for people of all races, ages, sexual orientations, and gender identities.

What to Expect on Sunday

Worship at the Cathedral is often described as a “transcendental experience.” While our services vary in style, each is rooted in the joy and beauty of the Anglican tradition. Can’t make it in person? Watch live online during our 11 a.m., 1 p.m., or 5 p.m. services.

Plan Your Visit
