The Dean’s Hour is the Cathedral’s forum for deep theological reflection and communal learning. Held Sundays at 10 a.m. in Reynolds Hall, this hour-long session brings together clergy, scholars, and community leaders to explore how our faith intersects with the modern world.

The Very Rev. Nathaniel Katz
Dean of Christ Church Cathedral
Dean Nat Katz became the ninth Dean of Christ Church Cathedral in 2023. A graduate of Harvard Divinity School, Dean Katz was called to the Cathedral from the American Cathedral in Paris and is known for his powerful, relatable sermons and pastoral warmth. Under his leadership, The Dean’s Hour has become a hub for exploring the intersection of traditional liturgy and contemporary social witness.
Whether leading a deep dive into the Foundations of Worship or hosting scholars for the Robert C. Stuart Lenten Series, Dean Katz invites every parishioner to engage their intellect and faith as we celebrate our community values of wisdom, beauty, and generosity.
