Andrew focuses on how liturgy, arts, and justice form beloved community. An award-winning attorney and writer, he holds graduate degrees in American law (J.D., Georgetown University Law Center), public international law (LLM, Leiden University), and divinity (M.Div., Yale University). He attended seminary on a poetry scholarship within the Yale Institute of Sacred Music, where his thesis explored the evolutionary biology behind the liturgical power of collective singing.
He has previously served as a criminal prosecutor, policy advisor for the Mayor of New Orleans and Governor of Louisiana, and international expert on climate law and governance. He has lived abroad four years and served at various levels of government and non-profits to connect local communities with global systems to address complex challenges, such as a recent fellowship in Germany to help design an international court for the environment. Andrew is a playwright and enthusiast for crawfish boils, dancing like a fool, and making up songs with friends on the porch.
