Marcia Quintanilla was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and is proudly of Salvadoran descent. A lifelong Episcopalian, her faith and formation have been deeply shaped by the Diocese of Texas, where she continues to serve with joy and dedication.
Her passion for youth ministry has been nurtured through years of involvement in diocesan and national gatherings across The Episcopal Church. With a strong focus on relationship-building and spiritual growth, Marcia brings both heart and experience to her work with young people at Christ Church Cathedral. She brings a bilingual and bicultural lens to her ministry, creating spaces where youth feel seen, valued, and connected across cultures.
In addition to her role in youth ministry, Marcia serves as chair of the Costa Rica Committee under The Episcopal Diocese of Texas Committee for Global Partnerships in Mission, helping to strengthen the companion relationship between the Diocese of Texas and the Episcopal Church in Costa Rica. She also helps shape mission experiences that prioritize mutual relationship, spiritual growth, and shared learning across borders.
Outside of ministry, Marcia is the mother of Jaylah who keeps life full of meaning and surprises. She also enjoys time with friends, family, and dancing to a good Salsa playlist.
