For 185 years, Christ Church Cathedral has been a beacon of discipleship and unwavering love in the heart of Houston. Today, we carry that torch forward. Our common life—from our historic campus and world-class music to our vital outreach at The Beacon—depends on the collective stewardship of our parish family.

The Every Member Canvass (EMC) is our annual foundation. It funds more than two-thirds of our operating budget, providing the resources for everything from the lightbulbs in our sanctuary to the innovative programs that serve the “Middle Downtown” community and beyond.

The 2026 Campaign: “Lord of All Things”

This year, we draw inspiration from our unlikely heroes in the 2026 EMC Skit, The Lord of All Things: The Fellowship of the King. Join Frida Baggypants and her alliance on a quest to Mt. Vroom to expand our outreach and spread the Word.

New This Year: The Prayer Trellis

We invite every member to visit the Prayer Trellis. Write your prayers for the Cathedral on a ribbon and tie it to the structure. This colorful, visible sign of our spiritual grace will be presented in its final form during our Ingathering Celebration.

Our Goal: $3.5 Million

To fund our 2026 mission fully and responsibly, the Vestry anticipates a need for $3.5 million in parishioner pledges. Youra commitment allows us to budget with confidence and ensure our transformative work continues without interruption.

  • What is a pledge, and why does it matter?

    A pledge is a good-faith estimate of your financial support for the coming calendar year. Because the Vestry bases the Cathedral’s budget solely on the amount pledged, your commitment is the only way we can accurately plan our ministries and programs.

  • How do I fulfill my pledge?

    The Cathedral operates on a calendar year (January–December). You can fulfill your tax-deductible pledge on your own schedule:

    • Online: Set up recurring payments via our [Giving Portal].
    • Text: Text “Give” to 888-998-1634.
    • Check/Cash: Use weekly pledge envelopes or mail your check to the Finance Office.
    • Credit Card: Contact Peggy Beltrami at pbeltrami@christchurchcathedral.org to set up a manual payment plan.

  • Are there tax-advantaged ways to give?

    Yes. Many parishioners find it beneficial to give through Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD) from an IRA, via a Donor Advised Fund, or through the gift of appreciated stocks. We recommend consulting your tax professional to see which option is best for you.
