Christ Church Cathedral te invita a celebrar el Mes de la Herencia Latina/Hispana, un mes para celebrar nuestra cultura, nuestras tradiciones, nuestra fe y la diversidad de nuestra comunidad.

Durante estas semanas nos reuniremos para compartir comida, música, juegos, aprendizaje y convivencia. Guiados por el tema de este año, “No tengas miedo,” celebraremos la riqueza que encontramos al compartir nuestras historias, tradiciones y vida en comunidad.

Las celebraciones especiales se llevarán a cabo los domingos después del servicio en español de la 1 p.m., aproximadamente de 2:30–4 p.m.

20 de septiembre — Día Inaugural
¡Comenzamos la celebración con mariachis y comida de diferentes países!

27 de septiembre — Lotería y Día de Juegos
Disfruta de Lotería Mexicana, juegos, comida y convivencia.

4 de octubre — Comida y aprendizaje
Compartiremos una comida y la presentación “Aprendiendo sobre las demencias,” presentada por Amazing Place.

11 de octubre — Día de Cierre
Cerraremos el mes con música y baile folklóricos de Puerto Rico, junto con Moveable Feast. Disfrutaremos tacos y otras contribuciones de comida.

Christ Church Cathedral celebrates Mes de la Herencia Latina/Hispana with a month of food, music, culture, learning, fellowship, and community.

Throughout Latino/Hispanic Heritage Month, we’ll celebrate the cultures, traditions, stories, faith, and gifts represented within our Latino/Hispanic community. Guided by this year’s Cathedral theme, “No tengas miedo” — “Be Not Afraid,” we invite the whole Cathedral community to come together, learn from one another, and celebrate the richness of our life together.

Special celebrations take place on Sundays following the 1 p.m. Spanish-language service, generally from 2:30–4 p.m.

September 20 — Inaugural Celebration
Kick off the month with mariachis and food from different countries!

September 27 — Lotería & Game Day
Gather for Lotería Mexicana, games, food, and fellowship.

October 4 — Food & Learning
Share a meal and join a special presentation, “Learning about Dementias,” presented by Amazing Place.

October 11 — Closing Celebration
Celebrate our closing day with Puerto Rican folkloric music and dance, held in conjunction with Moveable Feast, plus tacos and other food contributions.
