About The Event
A Bilingual Celebration of Community, Children & Spring
Join us for our beloved annual May Fete — a tradition at Christ Church Cathedral since at least 1899. We begin the morning in worship together, then spill out into the Bishop’s Courtyard for one of the most joyful gatherings of the cathedral year.
This service is offered in both English and Spanish, reflecting the rich, bilingual life of our community. All are welcome to pray, sing, and respond in the language of your heart.
The Service
The Holy Eucharist, Rite II is celebrated at 10:00 AM, led by The Rev. Canon Luz Montes and preached by The Very Rev. Nathaniel Katz, Dean.
During the service, children are invited to follow the children’s processional cross to the chancel steps for the proclamation of the Gospel and a children’s sermon with KariAnn Lessner, Minister for Children and Families.
All Are Welcome
You do not need to be an Episcopalian to receive Communion. Whether you are a longtime member or joining us for the first time, we are glad you are here.
Gluten-free bread is available at the altar rail. If you need Communion brought to you in the pew, please notify an usher.
