About The Event
About This Training
Godly Play is a Montessori-based approach to nurturing spiritual growth and development. Originally developed for use with children, it has since been found to be a helpful approach for all ages. This retreat-style training will immerse participants in story, wonder, and play, such that we’ll become well-grounded in the process and prepared to share Godly Play with others.
We invite you to join us in-person in Houston for this circle. Together, we hope to experience the mystery of God through story, wonder, play, and community. This experience includes 22 hours of Godly Play training content over three days, preparing you to begin or to grow in your Godly Play practice.
In a relaxed and supportive setting, we’ll have plenty of time for everything from going over the “nuts and bolts” of how Godly Play is structured, to practicing how to enter into and share stories, to reflecting on our own spiritual paths.
Whether you’ve been leading Godly Play for years or are just beginning, new and experienced practitioners are all welcome — as well as anyone who seeks a deeper understanding of Godly Play or wishes to become better equipped to support a Godly Play program, including clergy, administrators, and vestry persons.
