About The Event

The New Commandment and the Institution of the Eucharist

Maundy Thursday takes its name from the Latin mandatum — “commandment” — recalling Jesus’ charge to his disciples on the night of the Last Supper: “Love one another as I have loved you.” It is a day that gathers some of the most tender and weighty moments in the Christian story: the institution of the Eucharist, the washing of feet, and the beginning of the long vigil toward the Cross.

This midday service offers a quieter, more intimate entry into the Triduum — the three sacred days at the heart of the Christian year. Gather at noon to celebrate the Eucharist and participate in the ancient ritual of foot washing, an act that embodies the humility and servanthood at the center of Christ’s ministry.

The Triduum has begun. Come and follow.
