An ordination to the priesthood is a profound and joyous milestone in the life of the Church. It marks the moment a deacon, having answered God’s call and completed rigorous preparation, is set apart through prayer and the laying on of hands to serve as a priest, shepherd, and teacher within Christ’s Church.

While Deacon Brett has faithfully served and attended Christ Church Cathedral for years, this special service will take place at Saint James’ Episcopal Church, the parish where he will officially begin serving as Curate.

The Cathedral community holds a special place in Brett’s journey, and your presence at this liturgy is a meaningful way to support him as he steps into this new chapter of ordained leadership. Please join Bishop Monterroso, the McCleneghan family, and clergy from across the diocese for this holy celebration. A festive reception will follow the service.
