Christ Church Cathedral is an open and loving community of faith. While we welcome everyone—members and non-members alike—to worship and participate in our shared life, membership is an intentional way to strengthen your sense of belonging and personal connection to your church home.
Becoming a member is a commitment to call the Cathedral your spiritual home.
How to Become a Member
The process of joining is simple. There are only two requirements:
- You are baptized (in any Christian tradition).
- You submit a Membership Information Form to indicate your intention to join.

Steps on the Journey
Holy Baptism
Baptism is the sacrament through which we are adopted as God’s children and made members of Christ’s Body. We baptize people of all ages—from infants to adults. If you are not yet baptized or are uncertain of your status, we would be honored to guide you.

Transferring Your Membership
If you are moving from another parish, we can record your membership once we have your baptismal details (date, city, and church name) and your completed Membership Form. Don’t worry if your records are incomplete; we will work with the information you have.
To start transferring your records, contact our Manager of Parish Records, Ramona Sikes.
Become an Episcopalian (Confirmation)
For those who want to go deeper into our specific tradition, we encourage being Confirmed or Received into the Episcopal Church.
- Adults: Join our “Anglican Way” Sunday evening series—a free refresher on church history, the Prayer Book, and the sacraments. Email Rev. Canon Bradley Varnell for more information.
- Youth: We offer a dedicated confirmation process for our younger members. Call Marcia Quintanilla, our Minister for Youth, for more information.
Keep Your Information Current
Has your life changed? If you have a new address, phone number, or email—or if you’ve experienced a major life event like a wedding, birth, or death—please contact our Manager of Parish Records, Ramona Sikes, at 713-217-1347 so we can keep our records up to date (and our care for you).
